iPhone crashed and disconnected. maybe it’s not all that bad?
Hello everyone! I decided to write a short instruction “in hot pursuit”. Today a friend of mine contacted me with such a problem. he dropped his iPhone and the device treacherously turned off. Well which of us hasn’t had this happen? It’s like that with me five times. In general, this is a more or less standard story.
Another thing is that usually after that, the smartphone can be started either by hard rebooting, or, in the event that the “Connect to iTunes” icon is lit on the screen, by connecting to a computer and restoring the firmware. But this time, the iPhone turned off completely. it did not respond in any way to pressing buttons, connecting to a charger and a computer. Whatever we do with him. there is exactly “zero” positive effect. All to no avail.
If the device was under warranty, then it would be an ideal situation to visit a service center:
- We come to the official Apple service center and say: “My iPhone has disconnected for some reason, please see”.
- Naturally, we are tactfully silent and do not talk about the fact that he fell with you.
- And, most likely, after a while we get a brand new device in exchange.
But in our case, the warranty ended long ago (moreover, an acquaintance had already repaired it in unofficial service centers), so it was decided to disassemble and see what was wrong. The reason was revealed almost immediately
Apparently, during the previous repair, the master was in such a hurry that he forgot to put the retainer on the battery cable.
A bit of personal emotion. of course, I am amazed at this quality of work.
Just take and forget to put a part (not the smallest one) is “cool”.
Actually, because of this “little thing” everything happened:
- iPhone crashes.
- The battery cable pops up.
- The device remains out of power and turns off.
Of course, it would be possible to simply put the cable back in place, but without the fixing metal plate, this is an absolutely useless action. After all, after any more or less significant shaking, the connector may pop out again, which means that in order to turn on the iPhone, it will have to be disassembled and assembled again.
It’s good that I have a “donor” (an old and non-working iPhone. with a broken display and problems with the motherboard). We simply removed the retainer from it, installed the cable in its place, screwed on this plate and assembled the gadget. Now iPhone can drop as much as necessary (kidding). shutdowns should stop.
As I promised, this article is pretty short. But it was impossible not to tell about it, because:
- This is the first time I’ve encountered a similar reason for disabling the iPhone.
- The carelessness of some people is amazing.
? Remember how a forced reboot is performed on your device. It can help with most of these crashes that can happen on the iPhone.
A forced reboot is completely safe. Its execution does not delete any data on the iPhone, so you can perform it without fear.
❗ Methods to restore iPhone in this tutorial are arranged from easy to hard. If a hard reset doesn’t work, go to the next method. He will have to help solve the problem.
Restore iPhone via iTunes
If the iPhone does not turn on even after connecting to the computer, then only recovery will help out.
❗ In most cases, recovery involves deleting all data from the device. You can return them only if you have an up-to-date backup.
Connect iPhone to computer with USB cable and launch iTunes (Finder window in macOS Catalina).
Enter iPhone into recovery mode. For this:
Note: iPhone must be connected to computer via USB cable.
- On iPhone 6s, iPhone 6, iPhone 5s, and earlier. Press the Home and Power buttons (power button, located on the side or top of the case) at the same time for about 20 seconds until the iTunes logo appears on the screen (laptop logo in iOS 13).
- On iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Press and hold the Volume Down and Power (Side) buttons at the same time for about 20 seconds until the iTunes logo appears (the laptop logo in iOS 13).
- On iPhone 8/8 Plus, iPhone X and later. Press and immediately release the volume up button. Press and immediately release the volume down button. Then hold down the side button and hold it for about 20 seconds until the iTunes logo appears (laptop logo in iOS 13).
iTunes will report detecting iPhone in recovery mode. In the window that opens, select “Update”. Initially, this option should be selected, as it can allow you to return the device to a working state without losing data.
If data lossless recovery is possible, the iPhone update process will start. Wait for it to end. ❗ Never disconnect your iPhone from your computer.
If the update fails, then a recovery should be performed. Re-enter iPhone into recovery mode (step) and in the iTunes window that opens, select “Recover”. Wait for the end of the operation.
Updating or restoring will bring your iPhone back to working condition.
Connect iPhone to charger
Often, the iPhone won’t turn on and show no signs of life due to the fact that its battery is dead. Connect your smartphone to the charger and leave it connected for an hour.
Here are some important tips to keep in mind:
- Use original or quality charging accessories. There have been cases in which the iPhone turned off due to a dead battery, but did not charge due to using a broken charging adapter or cable. Be sure to make sure the charger and cable are in working order.
- Charge iPhone with electricity. It is very common for users to charge their iPhone from a computer USB port. But due to the old battery in the smartphone and the low power of the connector, charging simply does not occur.
- Check if the connector is dirty. Sometimes iPhone won’t start charging due to a heavily soiled Lightning connector. Examine the charging port. If it is really dirty, clean it gently, for example with a toothpick.
⚡ How to understand that the iPhone has started charging?
If the battery logo with the Lightning cable is on the screen. iPhone does not charge and asks to connect to the charger. If this logo is displayed after you put the iPhone on charge, then the cable or adapter is out of order. Use other charging accessories.
If only the battery is displayed on the screen, then charging is successful. It is worth worrying only if this logo is displayed without changes for more than 30 minutes. In this case, you should also replace the charging adapter and cable.
Perform a hard reboot
The first thing to do if the iPhone won’t turn on is to force it (aka “hard”) restart. It takes the iPhone out of recovery mode, which may have been accidentally turned on, and simply resets software errors on the device.
Force restarting works differently on different iPhone models.
On iPhone 6s, iPhone 6, iPhone 5s, and earlier. Press the Home and Power buttons (Power button, located on the side or top of the case) at the same time for 15 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen.
On iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Press and hold the Volume Down and Power (Side) buttons at the same time for 15 seconds until the Apple logo appears.
On iPhone 8/8 Plus, iPhone X and later. Press and immediately release the volume up button. Press and immediately release the volume down button. Then hold down the side button and hold it for 15 seconds until the Apple logo appears.
What happens to the iPhone after being in water
During my previous visit to the service center, I casually touched on the topic of “drowned”. Further communication with one of the masters led to the writing of a separate article that you are reading right now. Together with Alexander, I invite you to take a closer look at what happens to the internal components of the iPhone after being immersed in water. And not after 15 minutes, but within several days, or even weeks.
IPhones with various breakdowns are brought to the service every day. Interestingly, some of them are actually caused by long-standing contact of the device with water. The owner may have already forgotten about what happened or believed in a miraculous healing. And inside all this time, decay of very important electronic components slowly and surely took place. Nobody likes verbal statements, so let’s get down to business.
All smartphones that have entered the service due to contact with water are urgently disassembled to the last train and screw. Each spare part, which has traces of water, is blown through with a compressed air stream, and then checked in detail for more serious damage. Some of them cannot be restored: for example, a camera module whose tightness has been broken. Whether you are at least a hundred times a master with a capital letter, the spare part will have to be replaced with a new one.
Special equipment helps the guys in difficult and tedious work. For example, this powerful soldering station. It is she (and straight arms, of course) that allows you to lift “from your knees” gadgets with rotten chips and contacts.
On the tip of this soldering machine, hundreds of iPhones and iPads have come to life. During the shooting, I noticed: Alexander’s hands are absolutely motionless, there is no tremor. Then I wanted to joke on this topic, but then the microscope was moved inappropriately. The childish love of such things instantly knocked all other thoughts out of my head. The male (and largest) half of the site’s readers will understand me.
The microscope is not intended for a research biologist: after all, electronics have a slightly larger scale. This tool allows you to very quickly find problem areas on microchips and boards. Having suppressed the desire to put absolutely all the objects in the hall there, I suggested looking at the “motherboard” from the iPhone, which collided with the water in full. To begin with, a more or less living copy was found belonging to the year before last iPhone 5.
So, at first glance, everything is in order with the board. This misconception is the main problem with drowned iPhones: damage from water and oxidation can be minimal, and the effect will be critical. The first and absolutely necessary action that awaits all wet devices is cleaning from salts and minerals, as well as from oxidizing metal.
Thought to see an unusual unit? Everything is much simpler. Experience has shown that it is quite enough to use a soft bristled toothbrush for this. Naturally, this is not done dry: a special Contact Cleaner solution applied to the brush removes oxidation and salt residues from the board.
Once the solution is dry, it’s time to assess the damage. There is nowhere without a microscope, especially with subsequent soldering. Together with Alexander, I looked inside the camera lens. It turned out quite normal, downright macro photo.
Do you see the water? I can’t see either. In fact, she is no longer there. But salts and minerals managed to split one of the connectors on the motherboard, into which the display cable is attached. How can such a situation threaten? Oddly enough, the device from the outside is working fine. But this impression is wrong.
There were several problems there. First, the iPhone didn’t want to catch the network. Probably one of the wireless-related chips has been damaged. And secondly, the touchscreen worked very poorly. Every now and then false clicks worked, but the real ones were not registered at all. Working with a smartphone was extremely problematic. But the owner of this particular device still got off well. There are worse situations.
Think that iPhone was out of luck? “This is Khan”. Alexander sadly confirms, guessing my thoughts. In theory, it is possible to restore such a board, but the amount of work here is simply unthinkable. In addition to powerful multi-stage cleaning, here you will need to check absolutely all chips, down to the smallest ones. The owner of this gadget either threw the smartphone into the washing machine and left it there overnight, or simply took it out and hammered on it, remembering after a couple of days.
This is how the iPhone looks for those who believe in rice, hair dryer and other tales of the Vienna Woods. And for those who postpone the trip to the service until better times.
Returning to the still breathing specimen, I noticed several other signs of contact with the liquid. “This is not the worst thing yet,” the master seems to be encouraging. Returning to the microscope, I look at the back side, where the wireless chips are located.
If an insect’s leg is torn off, it may still live. But not for long. And painful. This iPhone feels approximately the same, the contacts of one of the chips in which rotted by themselves due to the negligence of the owner. I don’t know about you, but personally I was very sad to look at all this. Perhaps someone did not have time to deliver earlier. Or he just didn’t know. Or maybe they read cool and not at all harmful tips on the Internet and decided that “first aid” would be enough.
It looks like a typical drowned man who is still lucky. Stains under the screen, inoperative communication, wildly buggy touchscreen display. The most annoying thing is that in most cases all this could have been avoided.
The moral of this fable is as follows. Drowned your iPhone? Forward to service. Fast! Leave the rice for breakfast.
Traditional medicine and deceptive confidence
The assorted forums are full of tips on how to bring your drowned iPhone to life. On the surface, there are dozens of stories about the owners of devices who have done a few simple procedures. and voila, a miracle happened, and since then everyone has lived happily ever after. Let’s not deny: in some cases, people are really lucky. Just rely on “maybe”. the last thing you want to do when it comes to a smartphone for a thousand dollars.
So, you turned off and wiped dry the device with shaking hands. Never take a hair dryer in your hands: hot air will accelerate the evaporation of liquid, but it can easily damage internal components and provoke accelerated destruction of contacts on the board. If you have a suitable screwdriver and you know what you are doing, you can try to disassemble the gadget completely. But what to do next?
Traditional medicine has come up with many ways to help the “drowned”, but one of them is many times more popular than all the others. Network wisdom says that if you put your iPhone in a container of rice, the next morning it will become dry even inside and will work as before. As usual with such recipes, this is partly useful advice. And partly very harmful. because deceiving.
The method is as follows. Immediately after the incident, you turn off the device, wipe it from moisture. Put as much rice as you can in a plastic container and put it inside your iPhone. Including disassembled. The real “wise men” add here that the container or package must be closed tightly. Keep the device inside for no more than 24 hours. After this time, you will need to thoroughly clean the headphone jacks and Lightning from rice crumbs. This completes the procedure.
What is really going on in this container? Let’s analyze the case when an iPhone is put there, barely touching the water. If nothing really got inside the case, in a day you take out a very lively, fully functional device. Rice absorbs residual moisture, including microscopic droplets remaining in the shallow openings of the housing. In particularly fortunate cases, this may indeed be sufficient.
I mentioned that rice is a very deceptive measure of salvation for a reason. He can and will absorb water. Only water is so, half the trouble. Much more dangerous are minerals and salts, which are inevitably dissolved in it. The liquid, evaporating from the boards and cables of the iPhone, will leave behind crystals that are invisible to the naked eye, but extremely dangerous for electronics.
The deposits of salts and minerals remaining on the board begin to oxidize upon contact with oxygen. The process is accompanied by the slow erosion of sensitive, vital parts in the device. The consequences for the user can be very different: from strange glitches that you want to blame on firmware problems, to real problems, like a sharply failing wireless module or loss of screen sensitivity with false positives.
Think evil repairmen are trying to intimidate you? Unfortunately, you are not the first and not the last who then comes to them after rice with a dead “pipe”. Believing in the healing qualities of cereals, people continue to use smartphones, not realizing that they carry a device sentenced to death in their One day something will refuse, and everyone will be offended. Even a service center, whose specialists will have to do several times more work on replacing contacts and chips.
Instructions for those who drown their iPhone in water. What to do and not to take photos with a microscope
You don’t know fear if you haven’t looked into the eyes of those who dropped iPhone in water.
This can happen to anyone. And always at the wrong time. Situations are different, the result is the same: the smartphone lives out its last days, hours, and sometimes even minutes. Now, it only depends on your actions what happens next. the line between a pile of expensive metal and a fully functional smartphone runs thinly, crossing out urban legends.
What happens to the iPhone in its last hours, how to turn back the clock and why folk methods are doubly dangerous. further in our article based on the experience of hundreds of thousands of unfortunate iPhone and iPad owners.
IPhone water is not a toy
You need to know the enemy by sight. Especially one without which human life is impossible. Natural water, wherever it comes from, is the worst enemy of electronics. Ever wondered why this is happening? Contrary to the opinion of some, the liquid itself does not interfere with the electronics working and performing their task. It’s about water, or rather, its chemical composition.
The water you drink, bathe in, and wash your hands is much more difficult than it looks at first glance. Bottled, running, spring, sea, river. water available to humans, arising in nature or processed for drinking, contains microscopic ions of salts and minerals. You see them without a microscope almost every day. For example, in the form of traces left on the window after rain. Or on the glass above the sink.
Salts and minerals are an important part of drinking water and one of the reasons a person must drink in order to survive. It is the mineral composition that makes us prefer one bottled water producer to another: the ratio of minerals and salts in a liquid determines its taste. All this is absent in distilled water. and therefore it is not recommended for a person to drink it. With any liquid, the very minerals and salts are washed out of the body, and if ordinary drinking water replenishes the loss, then “dead” water harms the health of the body.
Why do you need distilled water at all? Salts and minerals present in ordinary natural water tend to precipitate and accumulate over time. over, they are all chemically active elements capable of oxidation reaction. i.e. on contact with oxygen. damage the structure of metal and other materials. This is why distilled water is particularly recommended for use with steam irons. Electronics and metal are good, man is bad.
Do you know another property of ions in water? They conduct electricity well. Some are naturally positively charged, while others are negative. Hence the legendary electrical conductivity of ordinary, natural water.
An electronic device that has got into natural water and continues to work comes into close, simultaneous contact with ions of negative and positive charges. The flow from the energy source in the device instantly closes on itself. This is called “short circuit”. It often causes irreparable damage to all components of the device that conduct electricity in this circuit.
By dropping a working smartphone, tablet, computer and, in general, any electronic device into the water, you arrange an instant local apocalypse inside the case. The more significant the contact of internal components with water, the more serious the consequences will be. Obviously, it’s better to never do that. but life dictates its own rules.
I dropped my iPhone into water. What to do?
Take your smartphone out of the water immediately and turn it off if it hasn’t turned itself off. If you don’t have an iPhone, open the case cover just as quickly and remove the battery.
You can exhale, but you cannot relax. In these seconds, the fate of the device was being decided. The turned on device under water could survive a powerful short circuit, and if water got inside the case, these short circuits can (and will) repeat until you turn off the power completely. Since the battery cannot be removed from the iPhone, your situation remains extremely difficult. Even when turned off, source of energy remains inside, which does not need to receive commands from you in order to exchange impulses with water and fry a couple of microcircuits on the motherboard. Hours and minutes are still counting.
You need to go directly to the repairmen. On the way, make sure that the smartphone does not turn back on without your knowledge. Under no circumstances wrap it in towels or any kind of cloth: this will increase the humidity inside the case, which will increase the chances of saying goodbye to the gadget several times. Feet in hand. and forward.
Don’t be in a hurry to get upset. The most important thing is that you did everything right in the current situation. But what if you can’t go to the service immediately? What if you have to wait until tomorrow? From now on, the fantasy of home-grown geniuses can take over you. On the Internet, they just do not recommend it in such cases. They usually don’t think about their heads at all.
Nobody is immune from problems. But those who know how to behave are much more likely to get out of the water dry. Together with a working iPhone and iPad. I do not wish such situations for anyone, but if it happened to you, relatives or friends, do not waste time. As in rescuing real drowning people, seconds count here. Following the well-known proverb will not work: the iPhone has no hands. So take action yourself: dry quickly and go to a specialist right away. You will be helped.
The performance of a complex device depends on many factors. Even a minor hardware or software problem affects the smartphone’s performance. It is important to correctly establish the reason why the iPhone 6 does not turn on, and this article will help. Let’s start with the most common.
Turn on iPhone program
ITunes can help even if you just need to turn on your smartphone. For example, if the power button has failed. Usually, it is enough to connect the iPhone to the network or to the computer. the power supply automatically wakes up the device. But if the phone does not turn on, then launch iTunes and wait for synchronization. After detecting the iPhone, the program activates it.
How to Reset iPhone 6 / 6S If It Won’t Turn On
A full factory reset erases all information and only installs the original firmware. So, if you do not take care of the timely backup, all data will be lost.
To do a factory reset, you need a computer with iTunes and an original USB cable. The sequence of actions is as follows:
- Connect iPhone to Computer with Original USB Cable.
- Wait for the program to recognize the device.
- In the main window of phone settings, find the button “Restore iPhone”.
- Confirm the action and wait until the end of the procedure. iTunes will restart the smartphone after the restoration is complete.
IPhone 6 / 6S won’t turn on. what to do?
It’s unpleasant when, yesterday, a normally working iPhone suddenly went out and refuses to turn on. While this is a serious reason for some to switch the device to a new one, most owners are not ready to spend money on another phone. We will help you find the source of this behavior of the gadget and tell you how to turn on the iPhone 6 if it turns off and does not turn on. With hardware problems, it is better to contact the service center, but you can fix the software problems yourself. The article tells about the signs by which you can understand why the iPhone 6 turned off and does not turn on, what to do in case of certain hardware problems, and how to turn on the iPhone 6 in cases of software failure.
Stuck loading screen
Another common problem is a failure during the boot phase of the operating system. This is manifested by freezing when the phone is turned on. The screen remains black or the Apple logo lights up, but then either no action takes place, or the device turns off after a while. This happens especially often after updating the smartphone’s firmware, or if the process was interrupted by an error. In this case, rolling back through iTunes to the latest working version will help.
Display Malfunctioning Symptoms
After an iPhone is dropped, the signs of breakage may be overt or subtle. The phone is damaged if:
- a green, black or white screen appeared
- there is no image on any part of the screen
- the phone does not turn on
- iPhone touchscreen stops responding to touch
Hidden signs of iPhone malfunction after a fall will help determine a detailed diagnosis of the device.
IPhone screen not working after falling
And get the best deals from trusted masters.
- Compare and choose the best conditions
- Feedback from interested professionals only
- Don’t waste time communicating with intermediaries
If you drop your iPhone, the screen does not work, you need to calm down first. The consequences of a fall can be serious, but there are effective methods to troubleshoot a phone on your own.
What to do if iPhone is dropped (dropped) and a black screen appears?
If it happens that the iPhone remains intact and works after the fall, but a black screen appears, there are several ways to restore it. Here is some of them:
- charge the device (it may be discharged)
- restart your iPhone as described above
- turn the mute switch on and off several times
If these actions did not help, the display does not work and remains black, which means that the internal components of the gadget have suffered. iPhone needs diagnostics to identify the causes of the malfunction.
How to change the touchscreen?
If the iPhone crashed after the fall, the touchscreen (touch screen), then a quality display replacement will help to return the smartphone to working condition. When an iPhone with a broken screen continues to work, experts do not recommend using it, as the glass of the device has a protective function. If the display is damaged, the iPhone will not work for a long time.
To replace the display module (touchscreen and screen) yourself, you need a small Phillips screwdriver, a plastic spatula and an original replacement part. IPhone repair is performed in the following sequence:
- the cover of the smartphone is removed
- the screws to protect the battery cable are unscrewed
- the battery is removed using a spatula
- screws to protect the speaker cable, antenna, motherboard are unscrewed
- details are extracted
- the touchscreen is removed
After the device is disassembled, the module is replaced and all parts are reassembled in the reverse order. It will take a specialist 1 hour to change the screen. If you do the work yourself, without experience, it will take more time, and there is no guarantee that the repair will be successful.
Benefits of specialized service centers
In the service center, specialists professionally repair the iPhone of all models. In case of mechanical damage (fell, dropped, the screen does not work after falling) or as a result of moisture entering the body, the master performs its diagnostics and repair.
When replacing the screen on mobile devices, the smartphone model is taken into account. Almost all versions of the iPhone have a single module, which consists of an LCD panel and protective glass.
For those who dropped the phone, the screen does not work, and the sensor stops responding to touches or part of the screen turns black, experts offer services for a quick recovery of the device.
Causes of display breakage
Despite the fact that Apple equipment is considered the most reliable in the electronics market, under the influence of some factors, it can become unusable.
Common causes of iPhone screen malfunctions include:
- mechanical damage (fall, impact)
- moisture ingress
- software error
- factory defect
- hypothermia, overheating
iPhone 11 Pro doesn’t turn after drop. Important data. no power after drop. Stuck at 35 mA. CPU
As a result of these factors, the display module may stop working.
If iPhone is dropped on a soft bed or pillow, it will not affect its functionality in any way. But if you sit on it, a green screen may appear, which indicates damage to the device. In most cases, the screen does not work after falling on a hard surface.
All models of “apple” devices have a built-in rechargeable battery, so if it gets damaged, the device will have to be opened and replaced. What should I do if my iPhone fell and won’t turn on? Let’s first look at what can happen to the battery. Contacts may close in the device or it is only a matter of a lost loop.
If you are replacing the battery yourself, you need to stock up on a small suction cup with a ring and a five-blade screwdriver, and then follow the step-by-step instructions:
- On the sides of the case, two screws are unscrewed. A suction cup is attached at the bottom of the display and, holding by the ring, gently pull the front panel at a right angle. The display is attached to the main board with three loops using a bracket. While holding the screen, unscrew the screws one by one and disconnect the bracket and the display wire. Then the front panel is removed to the side.
- Unscrew the screws on the bracket and release the wire. To remove the battery, you need to pull it out with a sharp movement, since during assembly it is glued to the body.
- Then the battery is replaced with a new one. Following the steps described above in the opposite direction, assemble the device. In order not to get confused and not to forget the sequence of actions, during disassembly everything is recorded schematically or photographed.
There is a charging module between the battery and the main board, its function is to supply and distribute energy to all components of the smartphone. If the iPhone falls while charging and does not turn on, then this may be the case.
You can replace it yourself after purchasing the corresponding part or, in order to avoid poor-quality repairs, entrust the work to a professional. If you decide to do everything yourself, we suggest that you familiarize yourself with the video. The instruction is presented on the example of “iPhone” 6 model.
One of the most important parts in a mobile device is the motherboard, which is a kind of “heart” of the iPhone. It consists of many parts and modules, each with its own function. It is possible to identify a specific breakdown only by using special equipment. Therefore, if the iPhone falls and does not turn on in any way, then it is worth taking it to a service center.
For example, if the malfunction is associated with a peripheral element, then repairing the motherboard and restoring device functions is possible. If the motherboard itself is out of order, the gadget will have to be disposed of. Of course, you can always purchase a separate part, but its cost and repair services will add up to the price of a new device.
In each generation of iPhones, the motherboard has its own degree of strength and the number of modules on it. At the time of the fall, any of them may suffer and lead to a breakdown of the device.
IPhone fell and won’t turn on: what to do, how to get it repaired
The mobile phone is an integral part of most people’s lives. They carry it with them everywhere: at work, on vacation, doing household chores, and, of course, there are often situations when the device falls. In most cases, the phone remains intact when dropped, but what to do if the iPhone is dropped and won’t turn on?
What to do right after a fall?
Depending on the situation in which the fall occurred, some features of the actions are distinguished:
If a mobile device falls into water, it must be pulled out immediately. You cannot turn on the smartphone, the battery is removed from it and placed in the sun or a battery. iPhone must be in a de-energized state for at least 24 hours. After drying, the battery is inserted into the device and turned on. If you do not know how to remove the back cover on an iPhone, we suggest you watch the video below.
Problems with the screen after a fall
If dropped, the screen may crack, partially function, reflect the picture, while the sensor does not respond, the display turns white or black, complete breakdown with the inability to turn it on.
If the screen is cracked, but this does not affect the performance of the device, you can postpone the repair and continue using the iPhone. Often, the breakdown is purely aesthetic in nature. Sometimes, from regular vibration, cracks on the display can expand, which ultimately leads to image distortion or poor sensor functioning. Therefore, it is not worth delaying the repair.
If the iPhone works after the fall, but the screen turns black, you can try to restore it yourself:
Iphone 7, 7, 8, 8, x black screen unresponsive, dead, won’t power on, quick and easy.
- Charge your mobile device.
- Activate silent mode and deactivate it several times.
If the iPhone fell and does not turn on using the described manipulations, then this is due to internal breakdowns. The device must be shown to a specialist.
If your device has a protective glass and it cracked when dropped, then it is enough to replace the element.
- Due to cracks, the adhesion strength of the protective screen and glass decreases, which means that it will not be difficult to separate them.
- To do this, we take dental floss and gently bring it under the glass. When the thread has slipped through, you need to stick a toothpick or sheet of paper in so that the protection does not stick again.
- Slowly lift the sheet of paper, carefully detaching the remaining protective glass from the screen.
Or you can use a special suction cup with a ring, as shown in the photo below.
Deformation of the body and invisible defects
In the best case, after a strong fall, a dent will appear on the case, which does not affect the functionality of the device. However, this is rare. Deformations affecting the refusal to turn on a mobile device, as a rule, damage the internal equipment: processor, microcircuit, ribbon cable, control module, board, power supply device and other parts. You can identify a breakdown yourself by disassembling the gadget, but even when identifying a broken element, you can replace it only with special equipment and skills.
In some cases, pressing the Home key and the power button at the same time helps to reanimate a mobile device after a fall. They are held for a few seconds until the phone starts rebooting. Another option is to connect your iPhone to your computer via iTunes and set up the operating system. If the smartphone is under warranty service and there are no external defects, then it is best to take it to the service center, where the damage will be eliminated completely free of charge under warranty.
It is not recommended to replace the iPhone case on your own, since the user cannot always do it carefully. Often such nuances are possible:
Checking the battery
The most common, simple and fairly obvious reason for a phone that won’t turn on is a dead battery. If the screen goes blank on iPhone 6 and does not turn on. what to do? Of course, it is advisable to put it on charge. over, it makes sense to wait until you try to turn on the gadget again for about fifteen minutes from the moment you start recharging. This is necessary in order for the incoming energy charge to be enough for system activation.
If you are using a non-proprietary charging (for example, at work), due to weak contact, the battery may receive an incomplete charge, as a result of which it will sit down much faster.
Of course, you can change the battery device yourself. there are many instructions on this on the Internet.
