How to Disable Mouse on Laptop

Through settings

Disabling via setup involves using the BIOS. This is considered the most reliable method, since the BIOS is directly connected to all devices mounted inside the computer. This is done as follows:

  • Rebooting the laptop.
  • As soon as the POST logo appears, one of the following buttons: “F2”, “F10”, “F12”, “Delete”. It depends on the laptop model.
  • Entering the BIOS, open the “Advanced” tab. To switch, use the arrows (BIOS does NOT provide for mouse operation). Selecting “System.
  • We will have one of the following functions “Keyboard / Mouse features” or “Device Options” (may differ depending on the computer). We choose which we found.
  • We are looking for the term “Internal Pointing Device”. Push
  • We will have a window where you need to select the “Disable” function. It is she who will disable the touchpad.
  • Exit BIOS. To do this, press the “Esc” button.
  • We are looking for the “Save Exit” menu. We select the item “Save Changes and Exit”
  • We will display a window where you need to click OK. We use Enter.

If this method did NOT work, then the device does not support disabling the touchpad via BIOS. Looking for other methods.

Using device manager

This method is suitable if it was not possible to disable the sensor through a combination of buttons or if you cannot find the driver responsible for the touch panel. To use the Dispatcher, do the following:

  • Open the Start menu and find the line to execute. If it is not there, enter Device Manager in the search bar. Another way is to press WinR combination.
  • If the system provides for the use of the Run item, in the line you must enter “devmgmt.Msc”.
  • Device Manager opens.
  • We open the section “Mice and other devices”. Looking for a touchpad, most often signed as Port TouchPad.
  • Right-click, select Disable.
  • If you cannot find the touchpad, Disconnect all devices, and then check if the sensor is disconnected.
  • Turns on in a similar way.

Using keyboard shortcuts

Using keyboard shortcuts is the fastest and easiest way. With the usual pressing of two buttons, the sensor stops responding. Pressing it again will turn it back on.

Keyboard shortcuts may vary depending on the brand. But, most often, you need to press the Fn button, combining it with one of the F1-F12 series. The required button is located according to the image of the crossed out device.

On THESE computers, you can disable the sensor by pressing FnF7 or FnF9. You should check the image of the crossed out touchpad, this will allow you to find the correct combination.

For this manufacturer, the touchpad is disabled by the FnF7 button combinations. This combination will definitely work if the F7 button has an image of a hand that is pressing the panel.

You can disable the sensor in this laptop by double-clicking on a specific spot on the touchpad. Most often, it is located in the upper left corner of the sensor. You can also determine the area by the presence of a small depression.

Here you need to look at the F5 or F7 buttons. One of them should have an image of a strikethrough panel. Press in combination with Fn.

The combination FnF1 works here. In addition, an appropriate application is installed on the computer to disable devices.

How to disable the mouse on a laptop

There are times when you need to disable the mouse (touchpad) on a laptop. If removing the driver is not possible, you need to look for other ways to do it.

Disabling the mouse on a laptop

There is no such mouse on a laptop as on a computer. A standard mouse is connected and disconnected through the corresponding connector. Instead, laptops have a touchpad, which performs the same function as a mouse. Let’s find out how to turn it off.

The combination of FnF5 buttons is used here. Also the laptop may have a special shutdown application.

For the second models, a special utility may be required.

To disable the touchpad, you should try all the methods in turn, starting with using key combinations and ending with BIOS settings. One of the ways should definitely work.

How do I disable the mouse on my laptop? Easily!

Hello! Today you will learn how to disable the mouse on a laptop! The mouse on a laptop is called a touchpad. It is touch sensitive and provides laptop functionality. However, sometimes it interferes with work.

2) take advantage of the BIOS capabilities. During the reboot, enter the BIOS using the “Del” key. However, in different laptop models there are other function keys for this purpose.

So, in the products of the brands Acer, RoverBook, Asus, iRu and Samsung, this is the “F2” button,

  • – for Lenovo. “F12”,
  • – for Toshiba. “Esc”,
  • – Asus. “Ctrl” “F2”,
  • – Compaq and Toshiba. “F10”
  • – in Del. “F1”
  • – for Packard-Bell, Gateway, IBM, HP brands. press “F3”,
  • – and for Acer. “Ctr Alt Esc”.

So, when the BIOS is entered, find the “Advanced” tab. Then follow the link “Internal Pointing Device”.

To disable the touchpad, select “Disabled” (instead of “Enabled”).

Let’s go through the models:

However, it is better to open the instructions for using your laptop and read the necessary information in the section disabling the touchpad.

4) If the laptop is from the latest models, then it probably has a physical shutdown button. It is also possible that there is a specific icon in the system tray that will allow you to control the touch mouse.

5) Another option.

  • “Control Panel”

That’s all for me! I hope you understand how to disable the mouse on a laptop. As usual, I answer questions in the comments, so feel free to ask your questions and wishes under the article. I wish you all good health!

Through the “Device Manager”

You can also disable the touchpad through the Windows menu.

    To do this, open the menu “Control Panel” and go to section “System”.

Disabling the touchpad manually

If, on the contrary, you prefer to work with the mouse and want to disable the touchpad, you can do what you have planned in two ways.

How to disable mouse on a laptop

  • Disconnecting the mouse from the laptop
  • Disabling the touchpad manually
  • Using a keyboard shortcut
  • Through the “Device Manager”
  • Auto disable touchpad

The mouse is the most important device for controlling a computer. In the case of a laptop, the user can use two devices: both a mouse and a touchpad (touchpad). Today we will take a closer look at how the mouse is disabled on laptops.

By mouse on laptops, users usually mean either a connected mouse or a touchpad. Today we will consider all options for disabling these devices.

Disconnecting the mouse from the laptop

Actually, the connected mouse to the laptop can be disconnected by disconnecting it from the device. If the mouse is connected to the USB connector, you will need to disconnect the cable or transmitter.

If it is a Bluetooth mouse, you can either turn off the mouse itself, press the power button (move it to an inactive position), or turn off Bluetooth on the laptop itself.

For example, to turn off Bluetooth on a laptop running Windows 10, you will need to bring up the notification panel by clicking on the corresponding icon in the tray, and then click on the Bluetooth icon so that it goes out.

Using a keyboard shortcut

Pay attention to the F1-F11 buttons, which usually contain hotkeys for controlling some of the laptop’s functions.

In most cases, to control the activity of the touchpad, you should use the FnF9 key combination (more precisely, you need to look at the corresponding designation on your laptop keyboard, since it may differ depending on the manufacturer).

If the touchpad was previously active, then once pressed this key combination, it will go into an inactive state.

Auto disable touchpad

Actually, you can also make the touchpad automatically turn off when you connect a mouse to your computer. As a rule, the manufacturer must provide special software for this.

For example, on Asus laptops, users will be able to detect the program Smart Gesture, which provides advanced touchpad control capabilities.

    To open a similar program, open the list of tray icons and double-click on the touchpad icon.

Disable the touchpad using the button

In some computer models, in addition to the Hotkeys, there is also a special key in the touchpad area that is responsible for the operation of the touch mouse. If you DO NOT know how to use the hotkey combination and DO NOT know how to disable the touch mouse on a Dell laptop, and such a button is present in your model, you can safely use it. Everything that’s needed. This is to press and wait for the notification that the touchpad is on. Disabling the touchpad, by the way, is done in the same way.

Disable via BIOS

The above two options should be enough to deactivate the integrated control panel in your laptop. True, situations may arise when they also DO NOT work. For example, this can happen when the operating system is reinstalled, and the drivers responsible for the operation of the touchpad and hot keys should not be loaded. We are writing now how to disable the touch mouse on a Sony Vaio laptop (although the same instructions apply to other models).

So, for this method, we need to go to the BIOS menu. This can be done after restarting the computer. It is necessary to press the exit key to this menu (in different models these are different buttons, most often. Del, F2 or F12). After clicking on the screen, a menu with various tabs and a sub-item will appear. Anything you need. This is to go into the Pointing Device (meaning the touch pointer) and select its operating mode. On or Off (“on” or “off”). Next, you need to click the Save and Exit button (most likely, this is the F10 key).

After you leave the BIOS menu, your laptop will be successfully rebooted.

The specifics of the touchpad

However, not everything is so simple. The question of how to disable the touch mouse on a laptop is asked by someone who buys a physical mouse and refuses to control using a square field. And the problem arises when a person tries to type text and constantly touches the touch mouse, while knocking down the cursor. Believe me, if this happens during work, it can cause a lot of inconvenience.

On the other hand, the user can be able to work with a touch mouse, and do it with confidence. You just need to know how to turn off the touch mouse on a laptop for a short time, for example, when watching a movie (so, again, and not touching this field accidentally) or giving a presentation. In general, in fact, there are quite a few situations where this knowledge can be useful. Therefore, we will consider several options for disabling the touchpad for different laptop models.

What is a touch mouse?

So, before talking about disabling anything, the question of the concept of a touchpad (or a touch mouse, as this device is called in a simple way) should be disclosed. After all, not every user who starts working with a laptop has a sufficient amount of information about this module.

When you first see a laptop, your gaze opens to the screen located on the back of the cover, as well as the top panel of the case itself. There is a keyboard on it (the same as the one that comes with stationary computers), and under it. Small rectangular box, highlighted with a frame or color. This is the touchpad. It is in it that we will talk, and more specifically, in how to disable the touch mouse on a laptop.

With the help of this square field, users can control the computer in the same way as it would do with a regular mouse. There are even keys under the touchpad that mimic the left and right tabs of a portable mouse. That is, we can say that the entire volume of operations that a regular mouse performs is also available when working with the touch field.

How do I disable the touch mouse on my laptop? Three ways to turn on the touchpad

Everyone knows that there is no more convenient mobile device for work than a laptop in the world. In fact, it combines the functionality of a desktop computer and the mobility of portable gadgets like a smartphone and a tablet. True, in the latter two, you cannot work with technical illustrations, program code or voluminous text. But on a laptop you can.

The only thing to keep in mind is the laptop. A specific device in terms of control. Those who have just moved from a stationary PC will find it difficult to get used to the touchpad and small keyboard. It will be especially inconvenient if you do not know how to disable the touch mouse on a laptop and use a mouse at the same time.

Disabling with hot keys

So, let’s start with the most common method. It is also the simplest one (although it is impossible to say that other options are somehow complicated). With this information, you will know how to disable the touch mouse on a Lenovo laptop (and not only) by pressing two buttons. These are the so-called Hotkeys. Operation buttons, which can be used to send commands to the laptop and perform certain actions in seconds.

On each device (in Lenovo. In the lower corner of the keyboard, and in other laptops it can be located near the F1-F12 keys) there is a special button labeled as Fn. In addition, on the buttons themselves, which are designated as F1-F12, there are other icons. If you look closely, you will see backlight symbols, Wi-Fi, player navigation keys, and others. There is also a symbol for the touchpad (with a rectangle, two sections at the bottom and a line that crosses it all out). It. “Hot” keys, and they are easy, if you don’t know how, to disable the touch mouse on an HP laptop (and most others). Pressing the touchpad symbol and the Fn button at the same time will disable the touch mouse.

How to organize the work of the touchpad correctly?

Of course, the last way to enable the touchpad on a computer is extremely difficult and inconvenient for the reason that it involves rebooting the laptop and entering the BIOS menu unfamiliar to most users. Agree, it is much easier to press one or two buttons (according to the schemes described above). However, in order to configure the operation of the device in this way, it is necessary to install the Corresponding drivers. It. Software that will be responsible for reacting to commands coming from modules (in our case, this is a touchpad and a hotkey driver).

In general, in order to constantly NOT switch the operating mode of your touch panel, you can simply correctly configure its operation. For example, if you constantly use it and have already got used to the lack of a physical mouse, then the permanently included touchpad will not cause discomfort (except, of course, the situations described above). If we are talking about working with a mouse, then you definitely do not need the touch panel, and you can turn it off.

How to disable the touchpad on a laptop 6 step-by-step instructions

Touchpad. an analogue of a computer mouse, located in a laptop case. If you use the latter on the road, the touchpad is irreplaceable, but when the laptop is in the office or at home on the table, the sensor interferes rather than contributes to it. It’s all about its location in front of the keyboard: the user touches the panel with his hand, the cursor “jumps” across the display or completely transfers it to another page. If the problem is familiar, it’s time to find out how to disable the touchpad on a laptop.

BIOS to help

The information will be of interest to all users who consider the touchpad a useless addition to a laptop and can easily do without it. It’s about BIOS.

  • Reboot the laptop;
  • While it restarts, press Del or F2;
  • Wait for the BIOS window to appear on the screen;
  • Use the arrows on the keyboard to “jump” to the Advanced timeline;
  • Find Internal Pointing Device in it;
  • Open and activate the Disabled item;
  • Be sure to save your changes;
  • Close the window and exit;
  • Final chord. another reboot.

Important: if the touchpad was disabled through the BIOS, then it will be possible to turn it back on only through it. It is enough to go through the same steps and change Disabled to Enabled.

Synaptics is also an option

Many laptops have touchpads manufactured by Synaptics. In this case, you can turn off the sensor through the settings. over, the user is given the opportunity to program everything so that the touchpad will work when the mouse is turned off and vice versa. How is this done and where can I find the touchpad settings on a laptop? Need:

  • Through “Start” or the “Run” window and the control command, open the control panel;
  • Find the term “Mouse” in the list;
  • They will name it;
  • Select Elan from the list of tabs;

Disabling the touchpad on a laptop: theory and practice

When choosing the best method for deactivating the panel, it is worth considering the model and brand of the laptop itself. There is a universal way to turn off the touchpad on a laptop. But out of the 6 proposed manuals, 100% there is a suitable one. It remains to find it and “implement it in life”.

Using the keyboard

Most modern laptops have, among other keys, 2 buttons, the main purpose of simultaneously pressing which is to control the operation of the touch panel. It:

  • Fn. located at the bottom of the keyboard, on the left;
  • Button with crossed out touchpad. often located at the top, in the F1-12 row.

I called these two keys at the same time, you can turn off / turn on the touchpad of the laptop.

It is unrealistic to consider all Possible button combinations for all existing laptops in the article. But it makes sense to indicate the most common “hotkeys” for the Most popular manufacturers. Perhaps among them will be suitable for the reader.

So, in Lenovo, the sensor is turned off by typing Fn F6 on the keyboard. Ciphers with F5 and F8 are also possible.

The HP laptop is even easier. Most devices have a special button on the keyboard, but there is a sensitive spot in the upper left corner of the panel. This is the “key”. You need to do a double tap on this “point” and the sensor will stop working. If the number does not pass, you can inspect 1 more option: just hold your finger for a few seconds in the direction.

Here are some more tips on how to turn off the touchpad on a laptop:

Similar button combinations can be clicked on second-hand laptops (for example, the FUJITSU Lifebook). But for the combination to work, the drivers and the necessary utilities must be installed. If this is available or the settings are made incorrectly, you will have to look for other ways.

Via Device Manager

There are 2 blocking options here: using the “Run” command or through “Start”. “Options”.

Step-by-step manual of the first option:

  • Press the WinR keys simultaneously.
  • The “Run” section will open.
  • Set the devmgmt.Msc command to an empty graph.
  • Confirm it with the OK button.
  • “Dispatcher” is activated, it remains to find the touchpad in the list and disable it.

True, the panel can be called in different ways, as an option: “USB device”, “Port TouchPad”, etc. When by trial and error it is found, it remains to be named on it and activate “Disable”.

In the second case, the panel will stop responding to touches if you do the following:

  • Through the “Start” menu will launch “Options”;
  • Find “Devices”, will be named;
  • Select “Touch Panel” from the term list;
  • Move the lever from On to Off.

The role of the touchpad is now completely transferred to the mouse. The panel will start working again only if the mouse is turned off.

Windows Mobility Center

This option is available on only a few laptop models. For example, Dell laptops are among the lucky ones. Here you can disable the sensor through the OS Mobility Center. The user needs:

  • Press the WinQ keys;
  • A search window will open;
  • Introduce the “Mobility Center”, will be named for a suitable period;
  • The required tab will open, on it you need to find the “Touch Panel” icon;
  • Change its parameters to “Disable”.

You don’t need to save anything, the settings will change automatically.

The proposed instructions will be relevant Not only for those who want to disable the touchpad, but also for those who do not know how to enable or configure the touchpad on a laptop. Actions in this case Almost will not differ.

Disable touchpad with a button

Speaking about how to disable the mouse on an asus laptop or other models, first of all, it should be noted that there are several ways. The most common and simplest of them is the use of the keyboard, or rather, Some function keys, which are located here.

Some laptops have a small button in the upper left corner of the touchpad that acts as a switch. But it is not available in all models, so sometimes you have to resort to other methods. So, the button for calling additional functions Fn in combination with one of the F keys will give us the desired result. But it can be different on laptop computers from different manufacturers. For example, if we are interested in how to disable the mouse on a Lenovo laptop, then it will be Fn and F8, on Acer. Fn and F7. You can recognize the function key by the designations on it; a crossed-out square should be drawn here. After you Disable the touchpad, if the Fn button interferes with your work, then how to disable the Fn button on a laptop read this article.

It happens that the user wants to activate the touchpad function in the above way, using “hot” keys. If this operation fails, it is quite possible that this is due to the settings of the laptop. So, you can enable the function in which the touchpad will be automatically disabled when a wireless mouse is connected to the device.

How to disable the touchpad on a laptop

The laptop is becoming more and more popular with consumers. The explanation is simple. a portable device is mobile and takes up little space. Therefore, choosing a laptop before you the question arises: in which company are laptops better? However, there are more and more questions worthy of the purchase and implementation of a laptop. For example, often users typing on the keyboard accidentally touch the touchpad, a touchpad that functions as a mouse on a regular computer. In order to avoid such a situation, you need to disable it. Instead, you can connect a wireless mouse to your laptop via USB.

Disabling the mouse through the control panel

BIOS settings

A rather complicated way of how to disable the mouse on an HP laptop or another model is to do this operation in the BIOS. Although such a manipulation is quite possible. It will come in handy if other methods, for some reason, do not suit you or are impossible, although this rarely happens.

So, we reboot the laptop and go into the BIOS. Here we select the Advanced tab. If you do not find this tab in the BIOS, then you need to update the BIOS to a newer version. Further, in the Advanced tab, go to the Internal Pointing Device link. Opposite it with normal settings is Enabled. To disable the touchpad, you need to change the label to Disabled. That’s all there is to it. After that, the operating system is loaded.

There are other methods for disabling the touchpad, but they are even more complex. For example, you can disable the loop connected to it. However, this is a rather complicated operation, especially for those who are NOT too well versed in the internals of their laptop. In addition, there are special utilities such as Synaptics.

There are many ways to disable the touchpad. You should not be too smart, the easiest way to solve this problem is to use hot keys. If this does not work for any reason, then try other methods. Although, do not forget that the touchpad can be very useful if you forget your wireless mouse or it suddenly runs out of batteries.

Disconnect keys

Most modern laptops have dedicated keys on the keyboard to disable the touchpad. you will find them on almost all Asus, Lenovo, Acer and Toshiba laptops (some brands have them, but not all models).

Below, where it is written separately by brand, there are photographs of keyboards with marked keys for disabling. In general terms, you need to press the Fn key and the key with the touchpad on / off icon to disable the touchpad.

Important: if the specified key combinations DO NOT work, it is quite possible that the required software is not installed. details here: Fn key does not work on laptop.

Lenovo laptops use different key combinations to disable, most commonly Fn F5 and Fn F8. On the desired key, you will see the Corresponding icon with a crossed out touchpad.

You can also use Synaptics settings to change the touchpad behavior.

For Acer notebooks, the most typical keyboard shortcut is Fn F7, as in the image below.

How to disable the touchpad if there are drivers or programs for it

If the methods described above do not work, and you do NOT want to install drivers and programs from the laptop manufacturer’s website, there is still a way to disable the touchpad. Windows Device Manager will help us (also on some laptops, disabling the touchpad in the BIOS is available, usually on the Configuration / Integrated Peripherals tab, set Pointing Device to Disabled).

You can open the device manager in different ways, but the one that will definitely work regardless of the circumstances in Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 is to press the keys with the Windows R logo on the keyboard, and in the window that appears, enter devmgmt.Msc and click “OK”.

In Device Manager, try to find your touchpad, it can be located in the following sections:

  • Mice and other pointing devices (most likely)
  • HID devices (where the touchpad may be called HID-compatible touchpad).

The name of the touchpad in the device manager can be different: USB input device, USB mouse, and maybe TouchPad. By the way, if it is noted that the PS / 2 port is used and This is not a keyboard, then on a laptop this is most likely a touchpad. If you do not know exactly which device corresponds to the touchpad, you can experiment. nothing bad will happen, just turn this device back on if it is NOT it.

To disable the touchpad in the device manager, right-click on it and select “Disable” from the context menu.

On an HP laptop

Some HP notebook computers have a dedicated key to disable the touchpad. In this case, try double-tapping (touching) the upper left corner of the touchpad. on many newer HP models it turns off this way.

There is another option for HP. hold the top left corner for 5 seconds to disable.

Using Synaptics Settings in Control Panel

Many laptops (but not all) use the Synaptics touchpad and related drivers. Most likely, your laptop too.

In this case, you can configure the touchpad to turn off automatically when the mouse is connected via USB (including wireless). For this:

  • Go to the control panel, Make sure that “View” is set to “Icons” and not “Categories”, open the item “Mouse“.
  • Open the Device Settings tab with the Synaptics icon.

On this tab, you can customize the behavior of the touchpad, as well as a choice:

  • Disable the touchpad by clicking the corresponding button below the device list
  • Check the box “Disable internal pointing device when connecting an external pointing device to the USB port”. in this case, the touchpad will be disabled when the mouse is connected to the laptop.

Disabling the touchpad with official drivers

If your laptop has all the necessary drivers from the manufacturer’s official website (see How to install drivers on a laptop), as well as related programs, that is, you have NOT reinstalled Windows, and after that did not use the driver pack (which I do not recommend for laptops). then to disable the touchpad you can use the methods provided by the manufacturer.

On almost all Samsung laptops, in order to disable the touchpad, it is enough to press the Fn F5 keys (provided that there are all official drivers and utilities).

Disable touchpad on Asus laptops

Asus notebooks typically use the Fn F9 or Fn F7 keys to disable the touchpad. On the key, you will see an icon with a crossed out touchpad.

How to disable the touchpad on a laptop

Hello our dear visitors. Not sure how to disable the touchpad on a laptop? In this post, we will talk about disabling the touchpad on any laptop. For those who do not quite understand what a laptop touch-pad is, we will tell you. The touchpad is a wonderful touch device that is designed specifically for laptops.

The touchpad technology is based on a fairly simple capacitive sensor that reacts to the touch of your fingers. The touchpad is bundled with laptops, netbooks and ultrabooks. The touchpad is used to manipulate the cursor, just like a computer mouse is done on conventional computers. In Apple’s MacBooks, the touchpad is called the trackpad;).

How to disable touchpad in laptop

There are many laptop manufacturers on the market today: Samsung, ASUS, Sony, Acer, Apple, Compaq, HP, Lenovo, MSI, Toshiba, DELL, and a variety of other brands. Most of them use touchpads in their notebooks from Synaptics. We did not even consider the touchpad as an advantage in the article on how to choose the right laptop, since this component of the laptop should be present and work like a clock. Let’s figure out how to disable the touchpad on a laptop.

Oddly enough, sometimes disabling the touchpad on a laptop is easier than enabling it. Depending on the laptop model, the touchpad may be disabled in different ways. By the way, the netbook does not differ from the laptop with the presence of a touchpad. Most modern laptops have several options for disabling the touchpad. Here are how many ways you can think of and implement to disable:

  • If you touch the touchpad, you can simply close it for a while, with something flat, such as a card or letter of paper.
  • Some laptops, like Hewlett Packard laptops, have a dedicated button that blocks the touchpad.
  • If such buttons are comments, then your laptop can understand a special key combination. Among the buttons from F1 to F12 there should be a key responsible for disabling the touchpad. You need to find this key and use it in combination with Fn. For Dell laptops, these are FnF5 keys, for ASUS they are FnF9, Acer. FnF7, Lenovo. FnF8.

You can try disabling the touchpad using Windows. To do this, do the following:

Or you can do this in Windows XP:

You can completely disable the touchpad on a laptop in the BIOS. How to enter the laptop BIOS can be found here. In the BIOS itself, in order to turn off the sensor, you need to find the Internal Pointing Device item and put “Disable”.

For the correct operation of the touchpad in the Windows operating system, a special program for the touchpad is usually responsible. Most manufacturers in their laptops use touchpads from Synaptics (a couple more competitors are ALPS and Elantech). The software for the touchpad is called Synaptics Pointing Device Driver. To find the options for this program, you can find it in the tray. And you can once again follow the following standard path (for Windows 7) to the mouse settings:

Finding the desired program tab is not difficult:

As you can see, to disable the touchpad you need to check the box “Disable internal pointing device when connecting an external pointing device to the USB port”. Then when you connect the mouse, the touch pad will be disabled.

In some versions of this program for the touchpad, the developers for some reason removed this useful item. First, try to tell the new version of the program from the official website of the developer. If the new program did not help, and the daw did not appear, you need to edit the Windows registry. Newbies can read how to open the registry here. In any case, if you decide to rule anything in the registry, you should be careful. So, if there are checkmarks, do the following:
