Ummmm…. so when isn't a good time for cake? Having friends over for dessert? Game night? Holidays? Date night?? Birthday? Pretty sure these are all acceptable times to eat cake.

Let me let you in on a little secret… this chocolate bundt cake is quick, easy, decadent and super impressive. It is extra moist due to the “doctored up cake mix” factor. Not only that, it will feed a crowd and make you look like a pro!

Throw the ingredients into your mixer, grease your cake pan and toss it into the oven. BAM! Done! You're a star! Drizzle some chocolate on top and you look like a full-blown baker… read on for more tips on how to make this cake perfectly every time.

CHOCOLATE BUNDT CAKE VARIATIONS

We promise, this is one of the most simple recipes that you'll make! You can use any flavor and brand of boxed chocolate cake mix, they'll all turn out delicious. The same goes for the chocolate chips. If you have semisweet on hand, then use them! But if you have milk or dark chocolate, don't be afraid to use those as well (as long as the dark chocolate isn't too bitter).

If you've got leftover holiday candy, then chop those puppies up and throw them in here! Our favorite is to use one cup of chopped Hershey's bars. YES. PLEASE. Experiment with it and see what your favorite chocolate is to use!

You can use a store-bought caramel sauce, but we much prefer to make our own! It is so simple and so darn good. The hardest part will be trying to not eat it all with a spoon. Good luck with that. 😉 You can also sub that for chocolate sauce if you're not a fan of caramel (is that even a thing?!) or if you're out.

HOW TO GREASE THE BUNDT PAN

There's nothing worse than spending the time, effort and money to make a bundt cake, only to try to take it out and have it stick to the pan! *Insert hysterical sobbing* We won't stand for it anymore! Use these few tips and you should see a major difference!

First, start with a quality non-stick bundt cake pan. Then, when you grease it, don't do it until after you've mixed your cake and it's ready to pour into the pan. This will keep it from all sliding down the sides to the bottom. When greasing it, you'll want to make sure that you get ALL of the cracks and crevices!

Use a silicone basting brush and cover all of the inside, including the tower. If you also feel the need to flour your pan, try using some cocoa instead. It'll have the same effect, but it'll keep your chocolate bundt cake from being powdery white on the outside.
