Alustin’s Alchemy Journal: Adventure Log Bookshelf (2024)

Alustin’s Alchemy Journal is part of the “Shakatu Merchants’ Archive” within the “Adventure Log Bookshelf”. It arrived in Black Desert Online on Oct 21, 2020. Alustin’s Adventure Log requires you to exchange alchemy items you craft or purchase. In return, you get 500 Caphras Stones.

Alustin’s Alchemy Journal contains 3 books that cost silver or mats, but reward 500 total Caphras Stones. Most of the ingredients can currently be found in the Marketplace.

Alustin’s Adventure Log Basics:

• Completing one Book, opens up the next Book in the series
• When an Adventure Log’s Goal (quest) is completed, it will receive a sparkly highlight. Click it to receive your reward.
• A completion stamp will cover the reward, if you have already received it.
• Goals can be completed in any order within a Book.

Alustin’s Alchemy Journal Basic UI

You can craft or purchase the alchemy items. They are given to Alustin. Alustin has several locations. Alustin in Alejandro Farm (NW of Heidel) or Alustin (Velia location). Also in Glish, Port Epheria, Keplan, The Great Library of Calpheon, etc.

Interact with Alustin (R) and select the “Chat” option. Have the items in your inventory. You do NOT get to keep the items.

Alustin’s Alchemy Journal Item List

Alustin’s Alchemy Journal requires many different alchemy ingredients to craft your recipes.

NOTE: This list does NOT reflect the average Alchemy recipe yield of 2.5 per recipe, if you have Artisan 2 or greater Alchemy.

Some of the ingredients can be quite rare and you should start planning ahead to get them. (Ex. Fir Sap and Rough Stone)

If you have trouble finding herbs, you can purchase them at the herb vendor for 500 silver.
